TICON Science Talk (final presentation)

ICTiL Conference Article

Against the background of the pandemic-caused online teaching, the main objective of the European project TICON – Teaching creativity online - is to identify barriers in engineering Higher Education for teaching creativity online, and to upskill the teachers in terms of digital teaching with appropriate pedagogical approaches.

The underlying curriculum, was developed following a User-Centred Design approach. In the first step, Experience Interviews with 32 Higher Education engineering teachers in Turkey, Irleand, Denmark and Germany have been conducted. As a result, barriers and best-practises as well as further needs and interests have been identified.

Teaching for Active Learning - TAL2022

The aim of the conference is to share, document, demonstrate, substantiate, and analyse experiences of active teaching and learning. We hope to inspire refinement of current practice and development of new practices within active teaching and learning.

Conference theme: Teaching for Active Learning – with a special focus on:
Developing student and graduate competences for the 21st Century – share and be inspired by ways university teachers facilitate students in developing their holistic sense of self and competences for lifewide and lifelong learning (http://www.lifewideeducation.com/).

The primary objective of TICON is to identify and overcome barriers in teaching creativity online and in hybrid settings, in Higher Education Engineering programs. By enabling Engineering scholars to teach creativity effectively online and in hybrid settings, TICON also aims to bring together students from various regions around the world, which could increase innovative capabilities of Engineering students and programs.
